Using Kowope
Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kowope. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Who may use Kowope
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your password and device, and all activity performed through your account.
What Kowope provides
Kowope helps individuals and small businesses record money owed, track payments, prepare statements, and prepare reminders. Kowope is a record-keeping tool—not a bank, lender, debt collector, payment processor, accounting firm, or legal adviser. We do not hold money, verify that a payment occurred, guarantee collection, or determine whether a debt is legally enforceable.
Your records and responsibilities
You retain responsibility for the records you enter and for having a lawful reason to store another person's details. You must check amounts, dates, statements, and reminder wording before relying on or sharing them. Obtain any consent required by applicable law before adding contact information or sending a message.
Acceptable use
You may not use Kowope to harass, threaten, deceive, impersonate, spam, violate another person's privacy, record unlawful transactions, interfere with the service, bypass security controls, or access another user's data. Reminder tools require your deliberate review and action; you remain responsible for every message or call you initiate.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Kowope dependable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may change as the product develops. We may suspend access to protect users, investigate abuse, comply with law, or maintain the service. Where practical, we will communicate material changes.
Account deletion
You may stop using Kowope at any time and permanently delete your account from Settings. Export any records you need first. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, subject to applicable law.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kowope is provided “as is” without warranties of collection outcomes, financial accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We are not responsible for disputes between you and a person who owes you, external messaging services, or decisions made from records you entered. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue in good faith. Questions can be sent to support@kowope.app.
